2020 Arbor Day Festival

March 17, 2020

Dear Citizens, Sponsors, and Vendors:

In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic the Norwood Arbor Day Festival that was scheduled for April 24th and 25th is cancelled. The President’s Coronavirus Guidelines for America recommends to avoid social gatherings in groups of more than 10 people. North Carolina Governor Cooper has issued Executive Order No. 117 which prohibits gatherings of more than 50 persons in public places which includes gathering at festivals.

All sponsorship money will be returned unless directed by the sponsor. All vendor application fees will be returned.

The Arbor Day Committee invested much time and effort into making this Arbor Day Festival excellent. However, public safety is paramount. I appreciate your understanding and support.

Sincerely,

Scott Howard,
Town Administrator
