The town of Norwood contracts its solid waste services with Waste Management. Currently Waste Management provides curbside pick up of its roll out solid waste carts every Wednesday. In order to have your cart emptied, please have your roll out cart placed on the curb by 7:00 am each Wednesday morning.
The town of Norwood also assists its citizens with household curbside pick up of bulk items such as furniture and appliances. Please refer to the zone map to determine the day of the week that your home or business is serviced. The town requests that you limit the size of your weekly debris to two(2) cubic yards ( so that it will fit in a 6′ x ‘3 x ‘3 area). This will allow our sanitation workers to manage their daily route zones while assisting the needs of other citizens. Currently, the town does not accept electronic devices such as televisions and computers. Additionally, the town does not pick up wooden items such as pallets and construction/demolition materials. In the event that you have a need to dispose of electronic devices and/or construction and demolition materials, or your waste exceeds 2 cubic yards, please contact a waste hauler for a fee to remove your excess debris and properly disposing of it in a licensed sanitary landfill.
Please see the attached list of prohibited and acceptable items available for curbside pickup.
